Dr. Fimreite is experienced in meeting the unique vision needs of the elderly: specifically, those patients who are bedridden, in a convalescent home, or institutional setting.
Dr. Fimreite offers “in home” vision services for those that cannot possibly be seen in our office. A thorough vision examination is performed including all internal and external ocular health checks. This population tends to be at risk of more serious ocular health complications secondary to their physical ailments. Dr. Fimreite brings with him all state-of-the-art equipment (mobile) to carefully evaluate for Glaucoma, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Hypertensive Retinopathy as well as side effects that may be caused by long term medication use.
Dr. Fimreite also offers prescription corrective lenses when required. He has a large selection of fashion frames to choose from. Medicare assignment for covered services is accepted.
