CHANGES TO OUR OFFICE
As of May 2nd, we will be seeing patients for all routine eye exams and health checks. To ensure the continued safety of our staff and patients, we have made the following changes to our office:
1. Staff will be wearing masks and gloves
2. Seats both in our waiting area and office spaces have been separated to ensure continued social distancing.
3. Appointment times have been adjusted to maximize patient safety.
4. Only the patient will be allowed to enter the office for scheduled exams.
5. Several of our frames are available to try on at home through our virtual frame board.
TO OUR PATIENT FAMILY:
We have made the decision to limit our services to urgent/emergent eye care only until May 2nd at which time we will re-evaluate.
What does this mean?
Although the physical office will be closed, there will be someone available to answer questions, place contacts lenses orders, schedule urgent/emergent office visits, etc. by phone Monday – Friday from 10am – 4pm.
We are offering to extend contact lens prescriptions for up to 6 months for our current patients. If you are in need of contact lenses, please fill out our form online at HERE, or call the office at (949) 770-8505 to discuss your options.
Our doctors will still be available for red eyes, sudden vision changes, injuries and other urgent issues for both new and established patients. For emergency appointments between the hours of 10am – 4pm, please call the office at (949) 770-8505. Outside of these hours, please call the same number and listen to the voicemail for instructions.
If you have glasses ordered or ready for pick up, please call our office at (949) 770-8505 to schedule an appointment. We will be scheduling 1 patient every 30 minutes for the dispensing of glasses. No additional family members will be allowed to accompany patients unless under the age of 18 years of age in which only one family member will be allowed to join.

Hemos tomado la decisión de limitar nuestros servicios al cuidado ocular urgente/emergente hasta el 6 de Abril. Después de esta fecha reevaluaremos la situación con respecto al COVID19.
¿Qué significa esto?

Los médicos de PAJE Optometric estarán disponibles para emergencias de infecciones, cambios rápidos de visión, lesiones y otros problemas urgentes para pacientes nuevos y establecidos. Para citas de emergencia entre las 10:00 a.m. y las 4 p. m., llame a la oficina al (949) 770-8505. Fuera de este horario, llame al mismo número y para obtener instrucciones.

WHAT CONTACT LENS WEARERS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CORONA VIRUS
There is so much information out there, some true and some false, that we wanted to make sure you are getting accurate information. At this time, there is no recommendation from the CDC or AOA to discontinue contact lens wear. However, the CDC recommends that we refrain from touching our eyes, nose and mouth. As a contact lens wearer, we know that can be difficult.
To avoid possible infection, we have always recommended washing your hands thoroughly before handling your contact lenses. We now recommend that you wash your hands both before and after putting your contact lenses in and again before and after removing your contact lenses. It is also recommended that you follow all manufacturer instructions for proper cleaning and disinfection listed on your contact lens solution bottle. Our office does have contact lens solution available for purchase for those who are in need of additional supplies. If you are still concerned about disinfection, we recommend changing to a hydrogen peroxide-based contact lens solution such as Clear Care. If you do so, be sure to read the instructions carefully prior to use, and to call our staff if you have any questions.
If you will be needing a supply of contact lenses in the next 2-3 months, we are recommending you order them now! We are closed to all non-urgent patients at this time; however, we are available by both phone and online for contact lens orders. We are also extending contact lens prescription on a case-by-case basis for up to 6 months without an evaluation. We aren’t sure how long our distributors will continue to fill orders, so if you think you will need contacts lenses, we suggest ordering them ASAP! These orders will be able to be delivered right to your home, for a nominal fee.
Finally, we are offering the option of switching to a daily disposable lens temporarily for patients who are concerned about re-wearing their monthly lenses during this time. If you would like to discuss of that is an option for you, or if you have any questions about COVID-19 and contact lenses wear, please call our office. Our customer service for non-urgent issues are Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm until April 6th.

INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE CON RESPECTO AL USO DE LENTES DE CONTACTO Y CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Estimados pacientes:
Hay mucha información circulando con respecto al uso de lentes de contacto y el COVID19. Para ayudar evitar confusión, queríamos asegurarnos de que usted está recibiendo información precisa. En este momento, no hay ninguna recomendación de los CDC o AOA para interrumpir el uso de lentes de contacto. Sin embargo, el CDC recomienda que nos abstengamos de tocarnos los ojos, la nariz y la boca. Como usuario de lentes de contacto, sabemos que puede ser difícil.
Para evitar una posible infección, siempre hemos recomendado lavarse bien las manos antes de manipular sus lentes de contacto. Ahora les recomendamos que se laven las manos antes y después de poner sus lentes de contacto y de nuevo antes y después de quitarse los lentes de contacto. También se recomienda seguir todas las instrucciones del fabricante que aparecen en la botella de solución que usan con sus lentes de contacto.
Si todavía le preocupa la desinfección, le recomendamos cambiar a una solución basada con peróxido de hidrógeno para lentes de contacto como Clear Care. Si lo hace, asegúrese de leer las instrucciones cuidadosamente antes de usar, y de llamar a nuestro personal si tiene alguna pregunta.

Por último, ofrecemos la opción de cambiar temporalmente al uso de los lente desechable diario (Daily Wear) para los pacientes que están preocupados usando sus lentes mensuales durante este tiempo. Nuestro servicio de atención al cliente para problemas no urgentes será lunes a viernes de 10:00 a 14:00 hasta el 6 de abril.
